Mexican Brunch Atlanta: A Flavorful Weekend at Zócalo
Brunch doesn’t always mean pancakes, eggs, and the same familiar breakfast plate. For a Mexican brunch Atlanta experience, you can start your weekend with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, tacos, and a margarita in hand at Zócalo.

Since 1995, we’ve been part of Midtown Atlanta, sharing family recipes and Mexican flavors in a lively space where meals are meant to be enjoyed together. Our menu offers many ways to build a relaxed late-morning or early-afternoon meal, whether you’re meeting friends, catching up with family, or simply craving something a little different.
Start With Something Fresh
A good weekend meal should give you time to settle in and enjoy the table. Our tableside guacamole, available mild or spicy, is an easy place to start. Served with chips, it brings creamy avocado, fresh flavor, and just the right amount of heat to the table.
You can also try our Elote, grilled corn topped with Mexican mayo, lime, queso cotija, and chile powder. For something lighter with a seafood twist, our Ceviche de Camarón combines shrimp with aji amarillo and passion fruit marinade, red onions, avocado, and cilantro.

Make Tacos the Main Event
If tacos are what you came for, you have plenty of choices. Our Pastor Taco combines seasoned pork with onion, cilantro, and roasted pineapple. The Asada Taco features marinated flank steak with onion and cilantro, while the Carnitas Taco brings slow-cooked pork into the mix.
For a richer option, our Birria Taco features pulled beef barbacoa cooked with dried peppers and Mexican spices, served on a semi-crispy tortilla with melted cheese, onions, and cilantro. Add a side of consomé for dipping and you have a meal with plenty of depth and texture.
Seafood lovers can choose the Baja Fish Taco, made with crispy tempura cod, chipotle mayo, Mexican slaw, and avocado. Our Taco Gobernador, with sautéed shrimp, roasted poblano peppers, melted cheese, bacon, and chipotle-garlic salsa, brings another bold combination to the table.
Add a Margarita to the Table
What would a weekend Mexican meal be without something refreshing to sip?
Our Zócalo Margarita keeps things classic with tequila blanco, triple sec, agave, and lime. If you prefer fruit, you can add mango, strawberry, or passionfruit flavor. For something with more character, the Mezcalita Picante brings a smoky, spicy edge.
We also serve frozen margaritas in mango, strawberry, and passionfruit, along with options like the Hennessy Margarita, Mojitos, and Mezcal Mule.

A Midtown Tradition for the Weekend
The setting matters just as much as the food when you’re planning a weekend meal, right?
At Zócalo, our colorful Mexican decor, open-air patio, and lively Midtown location create a space where you can take your time with the table.
For us, a Mexican brunch Atlanta meal is less about following a strict brunch menu and more about choosing food you genuinely want to eat: fresh guacamole, tacos, seafood, slow-cooked meats, and a margarita to bring everything together.
That approach has been part of our table in Midtown since 1995, and we’re happy to keep sharing it with Atlanta’s foodies.
